In October 1962-June 1963 there was a massive war between China. China was trying to take over a part of India that India deemed was theirs. That is what caused the war.
The Peoples Liberation Army of China fought against The Armed Forces of India. It affected most of the people along the border of India because of all the fighting.
It was located in South Xinjiang (Askai Chin) and Arunachel Pradesh (south Tibet, North East Frontier Agency). Unfortunately India lost the war and Askai Chin now belongs to China.
